Lady sat down by the water. The sun was setting just beyond the pine trees at the far end of the lake while melodious shades of orange and purple gently danced in the sky. Lady let out a sigh and stuck her tongue out. It had been a long day, and the breeze on her tongue felt sharply refreshing. She loved watching the sun set. In fact, it was one of her most favorite things to do in the whole wide world.
"Lady!"
Lady heard a voice in the distance, but she paid no mind.
"Lady! Girl where are you?!"
The voice seemed to move closer and Lady perked an ear, still watching the pine trees sway in the evening breeze.
"Ah there you are my darling, admiring the lake view are you now?"
She felt a pat on her head as the voice-turned-figure sat down beside her.
"I can see why, it's captivating isn't it?"
Lady barked and crossed her paws, as if in agreement. And then there was silence, as girl and dog sat together to admire God's creation underneath the darkening sky.
