Guess who decided to surprise y'all?! I feel bad about the irregularity, I really do..!! Right now, let's go back in time for a poem I found from last year (Oct 7, 2021), shall we?
It's all about the happy things...
There are things in life that take away the sad
And fill us with feelings quite different from bland
As simple as a poem or the buzzing hum of rain
This is something that allows some to breathe again
Everyone perceives it through their own eyes at first
For it connects the heart to the soul in the kindest
The laughter of a friend or the calm of the ocean
There's something about it that just feels so certain
When the rise of the sun brings a new day to come
Casting away darkness and the prior night's glum
Do you smell pancakes through the breeze in the air
That's the making of a delicious breakfast right there
Take a stroll through the park and you'll find yourself amazed
Of all the pretty details in mother nature's ways
From the flowers to the trees, to the little rocks between
Just think of all the things we've never even seen
Even the mind needs a break from time to time
What's better than a road trip and it doesn't cost a dime
Winding through the village roads will set you soaring high
Simplicity sometimes is the key to help demystify
If you're feeling down like there's nothing left
Like there's an empty void that leaves you bereft
That's when a lick or cluck is more than enough
From an animal or pet to get through the rough
In the end it's something we consider sweet
That lifts our spirits and keeps us upbeat
From food to family it differs for all
