Poem of Smeraldo 💮

Dearest Evergreens, 

I know that I haven't been consistent with my posts for the past several months and I apologize for that. There's just so much going on! Anyways, thought I'd surprise you all with a poem written by my friend Melanie. Hope you enjoy! 💚

'Poesia di Smeraldo'

A mystery,

A beautiful closed book,

An ocean of wonder,

A bewitching abyss,

that pulls me in

Wanna know every part of it,

heal every scar of it,

Wanna put back those broken pieces

of kaleidoscope together again

Fill it with the colours of rainbow

Just let me in,

Let me in and let me stay

let me take the pain away

let me share every bit of warmth

Let me in and I'll be the rain

to the withered flower

(Smeraldo is a fictional flower that an Italian author came up with for his book called 'city of Smeraldo'. It stands for something like 'the truth untold/ the truth that couldn't be delivered/the undelivered truth')
