๐Ÿ’œSnippets๐Ÿ’œ - The Calm before the Storm

The Calm Before The Storm

It seemed abnormally calm.  The sky was clear except for a few seagulls and albatrosses flying around the coast. There was a stillness in the air that could have never been detected by humankind. While the beach itself was crowded, the water lapped quietly and gently against the shore. It was a serene sight. Most people were playing in the salty waters of the Ocean while others were either walking along the shoreline, simply sight-seeing  of clicking candid photos. Laughter, voices and the whispers of the wind echoed all across the beach. Morning turned into noon, wore into evening and soon the figures on the beach became black specs in the distance as everyone decided it was time to return home. The sky darkened stealthily and soon, only the sound of the waves remained. All of a sudden, there was a crash. Then another, and yet another. The only light remaining was the glow of the full moon. The waves started building up; flowing from the heart of the Ocean and intercepting the waves that returned from the shoreline. The underwater current started raging, tossing fish, seaweed and all others in its grasp hither and thither. This went on for what seemed like hours. The heart of the storm remained calm, like the eye of a hurricane; calm, yet powerful. The moon shone radiantly, as if encouraging the storm; but the Ocean had a mind of its own. Having done enough damage for a night, it subsided; gaining another tally-mark representing victory against its old friend Land.

    1. Very true!! And also, "There is peace even in a storm"- Vincent van Gogh.
So whether there is sunshine or a storm, be calm cause the storm will soon pass and sunshine doesn't last forever; at least not in our world๐Ÿ˜‚
