💜Snippets💜 - Pitter-patter

The dark yet fluffy clouds rumble together as they collide, the lightning stealing the spotlight every once in a while. That's right, there's a storm outside. Just a tiny sneak-peak of the upcoming cyclone Nivar. It's dark and windy, really cold too. Fun fact, it's also raining. Don't get me wrong, I love the rain. I'm just a teensy bit bitter that I can't go out to play in the rain. The pitter-patter of the rain is yet another unique sound. At times like this, my parents tell me to just take in the warmth and coziness of the house, and believe me, I do. Prevention is better than the cure right... Oh well, I guess it's just me and my thoughts for a while then. On rainy days, I tend to write a lot more than usual. Why? Let's just say that I have no answer to that question. Maybe it's because my train of thoughts remains uninterrupted, it's just a hypothesis. I really don't know if this is more of a snippet or a diary entry, but I felt like penning this down, so here goes nothing. Sometimes I feel like the best ideas come in solitude and at other times, they come around when there is chaos on the outside. Sometimes, they come when I am doing tedious or monotonous tasks and at other times, they come when I am super excited. It's really hard to note down all of them of course. Somedays, I just end up singing something that sounds really good, but then I start forgetting the lyrics and by the time it reaches paper, it's just plain gibberish. On other days, I start with something that seems quite meaningless, but when I keep singing and singing and mixing words and matching, it starts to complete itself and become something quite beautiful. I'm pretty sure that everyone is familiar with - "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade", and I really try to follow this. There will definitely be the ups and the downs in life, but that's what makes us stronger. I want to change the world, not because I am naive, but because I want to see the good in others flourish. Because I know that deep down, there is a little light in everyone's heart.
