On An Open Sea

"AAAAAAARGH!!! Take that ya dirty scallywag!!"

"Haha, try harder at swash-buckling if ya can matey. Ya sure can't beat me this time."

"We'll see about that ya dirty no-gooder."

"Oh stop with the words and show me what ya really got and then I'll believe ya."

They clashed like thunder, each doing their best to outdo the other. On an open sea with miles of roaring waves, neither was scared. Back and forth they clashed. Whirling, jumping, rolling, calling the other names and engaging confidently while the madness raged all around them. The sun shone down on them fiercely, as sweat poured out of their thoroughly used maroon bandanas and down to their polished high, black boots. Their shiny swords made of silver, sharp and developed by the finest blacksmiths, were now being used to display a show of friendly aggression. Their respective treasures that lay in enormous heaps, glinted on either side of the mighty battleship. They were equals, both in confidence and fighting, neither wanting to be "affectionately" forced to walk the plank.

"Come for dinner!!" their mother called, and only then did the two little girls put down their pillows and smile as they acknowledged each others' courage. They would leave their little play-fight for another day.
