World Forgiveness Day falls on September 7th every year!!! So to celebrate, here's a little poem that I wrote two years ago!! (7th sept, 2018)
Mastering Patience and Forgiveness
Many people have told me,
What a temperament I can be.
Patience is the only key,
Wait, let me count to three!!
As the anger rises, my mind caves in,
I know this anger is a sin.
So let me tell you once and for all,
Patience is like a bouncing ball.
If I can't be patient with anyone,
Why would the Lord love me like a special one?
I must learn to conquer and hold my tongue,
Climb I must up patience's ladder's rung.
Now that I've learned how to forgive,
An episode of peace can be relived.
Only when I forgive, can I hope to be forgiven,
When you say sorry, the Lord will look down from Heaven.
Patience is bitter yet it's fruit is sweeter,
One moment of patience can prevent a disaster.
Holding onto anger is like holding hot coal earnest,
With the intent of throwing it, your hand get burnt first!
