The Ring

From Sauron it went to the son of Isildur,

From there it passed to Sméagol the Gollum,

Who just wouldn't give it to Bilbo.




Bilbo came back with the ring no wonder,

He had deceived the Gollum alright

Poor Gollum's heart was filled with hatred,

For he wanted revenge that night!




Gandalf the Grey came into place,

For he was a wizard and wise.

He told Bilbo to give the ring to Frodo,

Before the evil could rise.




Frodo had now a task before him,

Set to him by Gandalf the Grey.

To return the ring to where it was forged,

Before the ring wraiths called Nazgûls and uruk-hai came!!
